Maybe a Maya 5 to 5.5 format edit on the maya doc might work then use the External converter to take the Maya 5.5 file and turn it to a FBX?. The export feature was indeed not there after I checked. Leaving no doubt that it didn't load properly. An error came back in red, simply stating the name of the plug-in. I was delighted to see the plugin was at least recognized by 5. I downloaded the 6.0.1 plug-in since my system was liking the packaging/compression of 6. Maya has had two owners since Maya 5 has been released.so I do understand that asking for something like that requires much hope. I understand that maya 5.0.1 is long gone.
